N\u00e9 en 1976 \u00e0 Stockholm, Tomas Lacke est un artiste autodidacte su\u00e9dois qui pratique \u00e0 la fois la peinture et la sculpture. L\u2019absence de cours th\u00e9orique et sa libre utilisation de la technique mixte lui permettant d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter et de trouver de nouveaux horizons dans son processus de cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n

Dans ses peintures, on trouve de grandes \u0153uvres abstraites et figuratives dans un m\u00e9lange de couleurs chaudes et terreuses.<\/p>\n

Ses \u0153uvres abstraites, r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par superposition de textures et de pigments fluides, explorent des territoires entre mati\u00e8re, \u00e9motion et myst\u00e8re. Chaque tableau semble na\u00eetre d\u2019un processus organique, presque volcanique, o\u00f9 les formes ne sont jamais fig\u00e9es, mais en constante mutation. Linda Williams was born in Sweden in 1976 and has lived in Paris since 2004. After studying\u0301 in the 'Art, Crafts and Design' section at the Nyckelviksskolan School of Art in Stockholm in 2012-13, she took a number of courses in artistic techniques such as ceramics, sculpture and screen printing.<\/p>

Linda Williams is exhibiting a series of paintings devoted to spring, symbolising 'becoming': something joyous and full of life that is reborn after the desolation of winter. She draws her inspiration from 'kalhygge' - the clearings formed by the felling of trees in forests. These are 'broken lands'; a desolate space, but lush with diverse regrowth; desolate, but also full of hope and reminiscence. This particular space is as abstract as a sensation, a feeling, a memory.<\/p>

In her artistic work, Linda Williams seeks out the emotions she feels when confronted with nature, and the sensations that were imprinted on her body and left a deep impression on her during her childhood in Sweden. There is a kind of intimate, personal truth here, a quest that painting must convey, with its constantly reinvented language.<\/p>

\u201cAnd it was there somewhere that I became who I am today (Och d\u00e4r n\u00e5nstans blev jag den jag \u00e4r nu). This phrase from the song 'S\u00f6ndermarken' by Lars Winnerb\u00e4ck is particularly meaningful to me. In my painting, I keep returning to the landscapes of my childhood in Dalarna, the landscapes where I actually 'became who I am today'. No doubt to understand myself, but also to convey the emotion of the beauty of nature.\"<\/p>
